In addition to mass toxic torts, the firm also offers legal services concerning commercial disputes and liability-related defense.

Maron Marvel is searching for a director of marketing & business development. We are seeking a legal marketing professional with year over seven to 10 years’ experience in marketing litigation and insurance defense practices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide counsel on business development and marketing strategies and initiatives to firm management, core division leaders, and attorneys.
  • Identify business development opportunities for the firm's core legal divisions and attorneys.
  • Serve as steward of the firm’s brand, firm’s reputation, and position.
  • Manage the firm’s online presence, through management of website and other digital marketing channels.
  • Create and oversee marketing budget.
  • Maintain and enhance the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and communications.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, including brand messaging, visuals, and materials.
  • Ideate event ideas, evaluate sponsorships, and manage events from start to finish.
  • Implement strategies such as online press releases, blog posts, whitepapers, and digital renderings of speech presentations.
  • Coordinate and advise on developing pitches, responses to RFPs and requests for information from clients.
  • Collaborate with other admin teams to execute business development-related initiatives and activities including pitches, responses to proposals, directory submissions.
  • Generate reports to track growth, ROI on marketing events, and other KPIs.
  • Track results of the marketing and business efforts.
  • Conduct and analyze client, competitor, prospect, industry and other marketing research.
  • Support cross-selling efforts among practice groups and teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years business development marketing role, with a demonstrated track record of success in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to oversee projects.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across departments and influence key stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, including branding, market research, digital marketing, and campaign management.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive informed decision-making.
  • Experience working in the legal industry is a must and litigation and insurance defense is a plus.
